You'd rival maj on your collection, except yours are all dodgy Hong Kong street bootlegs!
Still, nice collection! :yay:

damn, you need to get a few 250 GB hds and a media center computer so u can just rip them on to your HD and sell the DVDs
fuzzyrabbit
27-08-2003, 09:42
Actually i would consider an insane idea to rip them all. encoding is a bitch. dvds are nicer cuz you can brag about it and what happens if i lose that 250gigs in a hard disk failure? jesus i dont wanna think that.
Download and burn = flakey ground, buying bootlegs is just wrong. You have no idea where the money is going :blarg:

dont care, a quid isn't a bad deal. and they are all retail dvd copies, all with extras and surround sound

Don't care that the money you spend is ultimately going to drug barons so they can make more crack. Nice sort you are.

dual 250gig HDs with i nice Raid 1 setup
or 3 250 gb hds with raid 5. would only cost about 650-700 quid (we all have that extra money floating around anyways :D)
encoding is a bitch
if u have that much space u dont need to encode em and u can keep the AC3 sound format for nice surround sound.
dvds are nicer cuz you can brag about it
keep the picture for partial bragging.... they'll probably be far more impressed if u had the media center thing with it hooked up to all the right goodies(big tv, nice sound setup ect.).

Oh come come now, there's no need to be so judgemental. We all like a little crack every now and again after all, don't we?

a pioneer dvd player and a pioneer slot dvd drive and a pioneer tray loading dvd drive x2 and an OEM pioneer cd drive and pioneer a04 dvd writer
dont you think i love pioneer and im so bias against other manufactures? *looks at the pioneer dvd-r disk stack.
(*wispers* i bought a NEC ND1300 dvd writer, but nobody knows that yet)
anyway
i don't actually have a tv or a tv card. I don't watch tv, if you actually go to a skool and take it seriously you'd find that you have more work then you'll ever get more work then when you are 30-80 and all work added together. so im a busy boy and no time for tv or entertainment. I have a 13inch CRT monitor and 2x 15inch TFT but only one here at the moment, the 13inch is used for video editing to do real-time preview cuz i find the TFT colours too unnatural, been using TFT for a while, and my mate has 19 inch TFT and its like top of the range but the colours are not quiet right so i'd always have a CRT lying around. And TFT screens have such high contrast the pictures just look jagged and stuff, CRT is more defused and glowey so the colours are spreaded evenly.
anyhow TFT aren't that good for movies either, it ghost a little bit but hardly noticeable after getting used to it.

Well last year i skipped over 150 classes and still passed with flying colors and got 92-math 94-social 93-Science and 84-English on the Exams that the provence puts out. But this year im not skipping many classes (if any) becuase im in high school now and it will actully count towards what Universitys and courses I can take. Even so, i still find time for entertainment. So why is it that you spend too much time on school? The school system in HK hard? You one of those students who goes for 100%? or are you err, just a bit slower than the average person?(no offence ment if u are, even though i doubt u are)

over here at britton ive got skool from 9 to 6.10 more then hell if you ask me. i have 5 free periods a week from monday to saturday 5x 35minutes is not alot and we have to sit from 7 to 8 to do prep in our rooms and they are getting so tight that you'll get a dentention if you went to pee for 25 seconds and forgot to put a chit on the door for reason of leaving.
anyway its not that we are slower than the average person but this skool loves to torture people and its too an all boys skool so you can imagine how hard it is. and if you miss 4 classes in the whole year without a good reason you would be kicked out.
basicly its a harsh skool and i dont know why i go to it, blame my parents. i do feel like a retard doing this IB course, doing 6 subjects when people do 3 on A-levels and also a-level students enjoy their 25 free periods a week compared to 5 of mine. They have hardly anywork but actually if i get my diploma i have a 66.666667% chance of getting into cambridge or oxford but doubt it very much cuz ill be the 33.333333333% of the people who are the unlucky ones but as far as i know, the poeple who took this course few years ago all got into big uni and quicker, and unless you get straigth As on A levels doubt it very much.
anyhow, oxford is way beyond what i ever wanted, ill dont like pressure much as you can see me struggling. and there are real freaks at our school who got 8 a levels and extra 4 AS and the 8 a levels he did, and now we have this 14 year old doing my cousre and im just the right age to do this diploma and that kiddy is actually rinsing the whole course, he'd get easily over 150 on IQ test.
oh god, i feel like a total retard at this school

I want to be a pirate
Sail the seven seas
A vagabond a buccaneer
Nobody badder than me
A parrot on my shoulder
A rolling deck 'neath my feat
Coloured tattoos 'n' golden rings
A pirate's life can't be beat
I wanna sail the seven seas
And copy DVD's
Sailing, the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
Sailing, the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
I gotta be a pirate
Sail the seven seas
A vagabond a buccaneer
Nobody badder than me
I'll fly the jolly roger
I'll live without a care
Wanna be a lovable rogue
Dashing and debonair
I wanna sail the seven seas
And copy DVD's
Sailing, the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
Sailing, the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
I wanna sail the seven seas
And copy DVD's
Sailing, on the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
Sailing, on the bounding main
Playing, a pirate's game
:)
