buy one of those "you've downloaded the software, now here's a manual" books

cant remember who write them... just go into watersons or whatever and look for a big chunky book with AUTOCAD 2000 written on it :P

the books are usually way more in depth than any real manual. got a huge shelf full of the buggers at home

gems like

"AutoCad 3"
"DOS 5" - nice!
"Windows For Workgroups 3.11" - classic!
"Flight Simulator 3"
"XTree Gold" - a gem, that proggy was
"CorelDRAW! 3"

very useful these days, they are :hmm:

shame corelDRAW! is kinda ignored now, i used to find it pretty much essential back in the day.

YEH corel 3 was the best then they started messing with it to compete with the other DTP stuff out there instead of sticking with the graphics stuff they were so good at. Now found out work is buying us Autocad 2002 AND training us! Manchester City Council - investors in people!!
